OrderPaperToday – Ganiyu Abiodun Johnson is one of the twenty-four team members who are flying the flag of Lagos State in the House of Representatives. He is representing Oshodi/Isolo ii federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Johnson reached the height of his career as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in Lagos State before being appointed as the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure to then-Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, and then the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Lagos State during Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration.
He is a newbie in parliament who joined other counterparts in the category of having no sponsored bills to their credit in the first half of the 9th assembly despite the fact that it is one of the primary responsibility required of a legislator.
However, a good record of performance on the areas of representation and oversight functions may cover for him and make the people of his constituency consider him a worthy representative.
Perhaps he is still trying to figure out the system since he is a newcomer in parliament, although there are other newbies who have sponsored bills accredited to their names in the first half of the 9th assembly.
Nonetheless, he may do better in the remaining years of the four-year tenure and have spoored bills accredited to his name.
