OrderPaperToday– Nasiru Abduwa Gabasawa is a member representing Gezawa/Gabasawa federal constituency of Kano State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives.

He is an erstwhile Chairman and Secretary of Gabasawa local government area. His legislative priorities  borders around Foreign Affairs, Defence, and Appropriation to achieve rapid development in the Country.

Mr. Abduwa who is serving his first term as a member of the House, has created room for the people of his constituency to question his capacity as a legislator having sponsored zero bill in the first two years of the 9th assembly.

Despite the fact that it is well established that lawmaking is one of the primary functions of a legislator, Mr. Abduwa joins the group of fifteen from the team of twenty-four that are flying the Kano State flag in the lower chambers of the National Assembly, that draws blank on the bill chart at midterm.

Nevertheless, lawmaking is not the only key responsibility of a lawmaker, hence a good record of performance in the areas of representation and oversight functions may cover up for him and makes his constituents consider him a worthy representative.

Perhaps before the end of his four-year tenure in the 9th assembly, he may do better and have sponsored bills tied to his name.
