SENATORS SCORECARD

Kebbi

 

Bala Ibn Na’allah

First elected in 2015 to represent Kebbi South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Na’Allah has two bills in his name.

The lawmaker had previously represented Zuru Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2011 before moving to Senate. In the 2015 elections, he contested for the Kebbi South Senatorial seat and won on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A former Deputy Majority Leader in the Senate, he currently chairs the Senate Committee on Air Force.

 

 

Muhammed Adamu Aliero
Representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Aliero has three bills to his credit in the last two years. One of the bills seeks the establishment of a Federal Federal University Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State.

The former Kebbi State Governor and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recently defected from the  All Progressives Congress (APC) having failed to clinch the party’s senatorial ticket. 

He was first elected to the Red chamber in 2007 and would be contesting the 2023 Senatorial election on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi
A representative of Kebbi North Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, Abdullahi has sponsored seven bills so far.

Senator Abdullahi was Senate Majority Leader until June 2022, when he lost the governorship primaries of his party, leading him to exit the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). He was first elected in 2015 and currently chairs the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

 

 

 

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SCORECARD

 

Kabir Ibrahim Tukura
Rep. Ibrahim leads the bill tally of House members from the State, with six bills to his name. The bills include the National Youth Development Commission Bill 2020. He is a representative of  Fakai/Sakaba/ Wasagu Danko/Zuru Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber,

 

 

 

Yusuf Tanko Sununu
Representing Ngaski/Shanga/Yauri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, the lawmaker has sponsored five bills in the last three years. One of these bills seeks the establishment of a Federal College of Education (Technical) in Yauri, Kebbi State.

 

The lawmakers representing Aliero/Jega/ Gwandu Federal Constituency and Bagudo/Suru Federal Constituency, respectively, Muhammed Umar Jega and Bello A. Kaoje, each sponsored four bills in the period under review.

Four lawmakers in the House of Representatives from Kebbi State sponsored zero bills since 2019. They are:

  • Basher Isah representing Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency
  • Abdullahi Zumbo representing Dandi/ Arewa Federal Constituency
  • Muhammed Yakubu representing Birnin Kebbi/Bunza/Kalgo Federal Constituency, and
  • Shehu Koko Mohammed representing Koko Besse/Maiyama Federal Constituency
