Senate

The Nigerian Senate has postponed its resumption of plenary earlier slated for Tuesday, November 15 2022, for Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Francis Akubueze, on Monday in Abuja.

Although the Upper Legislative chamber did not give any reason for the postponement of the resumption of plenary, it could be recalled that the Senate adjourned plenary to enable lawmakers participate in the ongoing Budget Defence Session.

“This is to inform all Distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption of the Senate in Plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday 15th November 2022 to Wednesday 16th, November 2022.

All Distinguished Senators are by this notice requested to resume sitting in plenary on Wednesday 16th November, 2022 by 10:00 am,” the statement reads in part.
