While wishing Christians a happy Easter celebration, the Speaker calls for prayers for Nigeria to overcome her current socio-economic and security challenges.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Tajudeen Abbas (APC, Kaduna) facilitates with Christians as they celebrate Easter to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message, Speaker Abbas urged Christians and Nigerians to be selfless and sacrifice for one another, as exemplified by Jesus Christ and prayed that Nigeria surmount its current socio-economic and security challenges.
“While wishing Christians a happy Easter celebration, the Speaker calls for prayers for Nigeria to overcome her current socio-economic and security challenges, stating that Easter is one of the best seasons to do so as patriotic citizens,” the statement read.
In the same vein, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu (APC, Abia) implored Nigerians to extend love among themselves in all situations saying such is the essence of the commemoration of Easter which Jesus Christ demonstrated through his death and resurrection.
