Eight Lawmakers in the 10th Assembly are from Nasarawa State, Three in the Senate and Five in the House of Representatives. This article by Oluremi Agbejule tells you about them and the constituencies they represent.
Nasarawa state was created in 1996 out of neighbouring Plateau state. Located in the North-Central region of Nigeria, it is bordered on the West by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the North by Kaduna, the South by Benue and Kogi, and on the East by Plateau and Taraba states.
Nasarawa has a diverse range of ethnic groups indigenous to the state and is currently governed by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Nasarawa’s main economic activity is agriculture; cash crops such as yam, cassava and egusi (melon). Production of minerals such as salt is also another major economic activity in the state; Nasarawa produces a large proportion of the salt consumed in the country.

Senator Akwashiki Godiya
Senator Akwashiki is currently serving his second term as a Senator representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 10th Assembly.

Senator Wadada Ahmed
