They urged Nigerians to pray for President Tinubu and give him maximum support so that his government’s Renewed Hope Agenda would achieve its objectives. 
The presiding officers of the House of Representatives, Speaker Tanjudeen Abbas and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu have hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 72nd birthday as they also expressed satisfaction with his style of leadership saying they are hopeful that the economic hardship would soon be a thing of the past.
In a press statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Speaker Abbas described President Tinubu as “a grandmaster of progressive politics,” adding the president has refined and redefined politics and governance in Nigeria.
Speaker Abbas, who noted that President Tinubu gets better with age, said Nigerians would soon rate his administration as one of the best the country has ever had adding that the history of Nigeria’s democracy would be incomplete without the name of President Tinubu occupying a vantage position.
“I wish His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a happy birthday. While it is his desire, as a passionate leader, that his birthday celebrations should be low-key, it is also an attestation to his selfless leadership style, which we are all emulating.
“Nevertheless, we can’t but express our admiration for a man who is willing and on the verge of transforming the socio-political and economic conditions of our country. It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah continues to strengthen him, grant him the grace and the wisdom to navigate our dear country out of the current turbulence,” Speaker Abbas said.
He therefore urged Nigerians to pray for the president and his administration, as well as give him maximum support so that his government’s Renewed Hope Agenda would achieve its objectives.
On his part, the deputy speaker, Rep. Kalu applauded the President for his moves that are gradually helping the economy to rebound saying that the pragmatic steps taken by the President Tinubu-led administration are capable of reviving the economy.
In a statement by his official spokesman, Mr. Levinus Nwabughiogu on Thursday, Kalu saluted the resilience, courage and tact so far employed by the President to move the country forward.
While congratulating the President on his birthday, the Deputy Speaker expressed optimism about a virile economy and a future that will raise the living standard of Nigerians and assured the President of the necessary legislative interventions to achieve the set objectives.
He said: “His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Ahmed, on behalf of my family and the good people of Bende Federal Constituency, I heartily congratulate you on your 72nd birthday. It is indeed a milestone of age.
“This milestone has no doubt seen you fight a plethora of battles for the survival of democracy and the elevation of our country to enviable heights. Through this age, we have also seen you invest in people and institutions irrespective of tribe or religion to better the lot of the citizenry.
“As a former governor of Lagos State, you showed leadership and capacity. Now that the people of Nigeria have collectively entrusted in your care the Presidency and the fortunes of the country, your vision for a united country and a virile economy is being achieved.
“I applaud your courage, resilience, tact, determination and the pragmatic steps you are taking in the Renewed Hope Agenda to not only revive the economy but to make it healthier than you met it.
“I pray to God for an increase in strength, good health, and wisdom to continue working assiduously to change the narrative and move our dear country to the next level of positive results. Rest assured of my legislative support and interventions. Congratulations, Mr. President.”
