Having spent over twenty years in the legislative arm of government, fifty-seven-year-old John Owan Enoh is one of ten nominees (with a legislative background) sent by President Bola Tinubu for screening and possible confirmation by the National Assembly.

According to Section 147 (2), any appointment to the office of Minister of the Government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President.

A former Member of the Cross River State House of Assembly and the National Assembly; serving in both the House of Representatives and Senate respectively; Senator Enoh has been presented with the opportunity to make a switch to the executive arm of government.
