Following its resumption on February 28 from recess embarked upon by lawmakers ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Red Chamber had, on March 2, adjourned plenary till Tuesday, March 14. This followed a motion moved by Acting Senate Leader, Senator Ajayi Borroffice and seconded by Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda.
The recent adjournment of plenary to Tuesday, 21st March, is to enable the Senators to partake in the Governorship and Assembly elections initially secheduled for March 11 but shifted to March 18, 2023.
