President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday signed the Appropriation Bill for the 2023 fiscal year, six days after its passage by both chambers of the National Assembly.
At the brief ceremony televised from the Council Chambers of the State House Abuja, the President noted that the aggregate expenditure as contained in the budget is N21.83 trillion.
According to a copy of the document passed by the Senate and House of Representatives last Wednesday, which our Correspondent sighted, over N200 billion is allotted to the National Assembly and associated institutions in the breakdown of statutory transfers.
