Hon. Gaya currently represents Kano South in the senate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Serving his fourth term in the senate since being elected in 2007, he chairs the Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (IINEC). Born on 16th June 1952, Gaya is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and the Nigerian Large Scale Farmers Association (NLSFA).
