Hon Okafor is currently serving as a two-term member representing Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency in the 10th House of Representatives under the Platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He serves as the Chairman, House Committee on Nutrition and Food Security. He stated his political carreer as a Finance Commissioner in Imo State (June, 2011-October, 2014).
In 2015, Hon. Okafor contested and won the elections as a member of the 8th House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Before joining mainstream politics, Hon. Okafor was a Senior Manager at Zenith Bank (2005-2011). He had also served as a chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services and member of serveral Adhoc Committees.
Hon. Okafor is also a crowned prince of Umuokeh Kingdom in Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State, an International Knowledge Resource person and Public Speaker. He is a devout christian, husband and proud father of three beautiful children.
