Hon. Shuaibu was a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly representing Hong Constituency was appointed Majority Leader of the Assembly in July 2003 and served as a one time Speaker of the State Assembly, but resigned from the position following threats of impeachment on 2nd August, 2010.
