Hon. Abang Victor Bisong was born on April 11th 1967, in Bawup, Boki Local Government Area, of Cross River State. Hon. Abang is a first-term Member of the House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly, representing the Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency of Borno State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Abang joined mainstream politics in 2005, when he was appointed as the Chief Legislative Aide to the then-Senate President, Ken Nnamani, serving from 2005 to 2007. He subsequently held the position of Special Assistant to the Senate President on Public Affairs from 2007 to 2016 and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Chairman from 2016 to 2019. In 2021 He was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on the National Assembly Matters by the then-governor, Senator Ben Ayade.
In 2018, Hon. Abang was nominated as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikom/Boki Federal House seat in the 2019 general election but lost the election.
