We are back on Parliament Spotlight this week, focusing on the 57-year-old Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Majority Leader and number 3 lawmaker in the Ninth House of Representatives.

Known to be very outspoken and controversial, yet influential in and out of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is also reputed to have 27 children from four wives, served as Special Adviser to not less than two past Presidents of the Senate and has been in the Green Chamber for five terms.

  •  He is reputed to have boasted on the floor of the House about having 27 children (and still counting) from his four wives (one late), who he came with to the Green Chamber. 
  • The APC Kano Deputy Governorship Candidate, Murtala Sule Garo, recently accused the lawmaker of hitting him with a teacup.
