Born on 20th May, 1967, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi is one of President Bola Tinubu’s Ministerial nominees sent for screening and possible confirmation by the National Assembly.
Danladi is one of the ten nominees among the first batch of twenty-eight (28) Minister-Designates with a background in the parliament. Armed with a robust experience in the executive, Danladi is however not without controversies including his stint in the legislative arm of government.

NOTES:
- The Taraba State House of Assembly on September 4, 2012 impeached Danladi as Deputy Governor on the grounds of gross misconduct leading to his replacement by Umar Garba, who went on to become the Acting Taraba Governor following the involvement of Governor Danbaba Suntai in an ill-fated air crash.
- However, Danladi sought redress in Court and regained his mandate following a Supreme Court ruling in his favour in November 2014.He thus remained Acting Governor until May 28 2015.
- Following his election to the Senate in 2015, he was sacked on June 23, 2017 as a Senator by the Supreme Court which also declared Shuaibu Isa Lau, as the validly elected lawmaker representing the District.
- Senator Danladi defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has remained a member since then.

CONTROVERSY
- Danladi was reportedly barred from contesting for; or holding any political office for a period of ten years. This was on the grounds that he lied on oath in his INEC form CF001 and used a WAEC certificate that does not belong to him to contest the 2019 Governorship Election in Taraba State.
- Danladi was on 6th March, 2019 disqualified by the Federal High Court, Jalingo presided over by Honourable Justice Stephen Dalyop Pam from contesting the March 9 Governorship Election.
- The case went on to the Court of Appeal before the election and to the Supreme Court after the election, where the apex court affirmed the judgement of the lower court confirming that the certificate presented by Sani Danladi to the INEC was fake and forged.
- There are however speculations that the ban was lifted in 2021.
