HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MEMBERS SCORECARD
Rimam Shawulu Kwenum
The lawmaker representing Takum/Ussa/Donga Federal Constituency leads the bills tally of legislators from the State. In the period under review, he has so far sponsored 14 pieces of legislation, including a bill seeking to establish the National Security Trust Fund, currently awaiting second reading.
Rep Kwenum is reported to have dumped the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Danjuma Usman Shiddi
A two-term lawmaker, the Ibi/Wukari Federal Constituency representative has had three bills to his name since 2019. Prominent amongst these bills is the legislation establishing a Federal College of Fisheries, Ibi, Taraba State, currently awaiting report.
Elected to parliament under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), he defected to the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), where he picked the ticket for the Taraba South Senatorial seat ahead of the February 25 National Assembly Elections.
Abdulsalam Gambo Mubarak
Representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber, the lawmaker has so far sponsored two bills in the period under review.
A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he is currently seeking a second term in the federal parliament,
Kassimu Bello Maigari
Like Rep. Mubarak, the lawmaker representing Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency has sponsored two bills in the period under review, including the National Roots and Tubers Production Processing and Research Institute (Establishment) Bill which is currently awaiting report.
He is also a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Danladi Baido Tijo
Representing Karim Lamido/Ardo Kola/Lau Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. The two-term lawmaker who doubles as the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is one of the two federal lawmakers from the state that didn’t sponsor any piece of legislation in the last three years.
David Fouh Abel
The lawmaker representing Gashaka/Sardauna/Kurmi Federal Constituency also has no bills to his credit in the period under review. He has since dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

SENATORS SCORECARD
Emmanuel Bwacha
Senator Emmanuel Bwacha is, no doubt, the most ranking lawmaker amongst the three legislators representing Taraba in the Senate.
In the area of bills sponsorship, he sponsored seven pieces of legislation, including The Federal University Wukari (Establishment) Bill 2019, which has since been passed. Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement, he also sponsored the Anti-Corruption Bill 2020, which has passed first reading and the Police Service Commission (Establishment) Bill 2020, which is currently at the Committee Stage.
A former member of the Taraba State House of Assembly, a former member of the House of Representatives before his current sojourn as a Senator, where he is serving his third term. Bwacha had served as Deputy Minority Leader for two consecutive terms at the Senate until his recent resignation to pitch his tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC) whose flag he would be flying as Governorship candidate on March 11, 2023.
Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf
Representing Taraba Central, Senator Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf has to his name; five bills, including the National Youth Commission Bill 2021, which is currently at first reading. Others are the Federal College of Education, Mutum Biyu (Establishment) Bill 2019, which has been passed and the Financial Reporting Council Act (Amendment) 2021.
The lawmaker who chairs the Senate Committee on Special Duties returned to the Senate in 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose Governorship ticket he lost during the primaries.
Shuaibu Isa Lau
Senator Lau ranks lowest in terms of Bills Sponsorship among his colleagues from Taraba in the Senate. He has, in the last three years, sponsored two pieces of legislation, including the Federal University of Science and Technology, Lau (Establishment) Bills 2021 and the Public Procurement Act (Amendment) Bill 2019.
Since his return to the Chamber, he has served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement until his recent elevation to the position of Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate.
The Taraba Central legislator is the only one among the three Senators currently representing Taraba State at the National Assembly who got his party’s nod to go for a third term in the current dispensation.
