Fubara and the Rivers State House of Assembly go head to head again as a new factional Speaker has emerged.
The political crisis between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Rivers State House of Assembly has continued to take new twists as Hon. Victor Jumbo, representing the Bonny Constituency, has emerged as the new factional Speaker in the Rivers State House of Assembly on Wednesday.

The pro-Fubara lawmakers were led by the former factional Speaker, Edison Ehie, who later resigned from the Assembly following President Bola Tinubu’s intervention to mediate a settlement between Fubara and his estranged political godfather, Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
