SENATORS SCORECARD
First elected in 2015 to represent Cross River South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Bassey has twenty-two bills, including the Federal Road Authority (Establishment) Bill, 2019 to his credit in the period of review.
He currently chairs the Senate Committee on FERMA, and he is Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream).
In the build-up to the 2022 Party primaries, he sought the gubernatorial ticket of his party; the Peoples’ Democratic Party, but lost to his colleague Senator Sandy Onor.
The lawmaker representing Cross River North Senatorial District in the National Assembly has six bills to his credit in the last two years. One of his bills is seeking the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Ogoja, Cross River State.
He was first elected to the Green chamber in 2015 to represent Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency and was re-elected for a second term. He, however, did not finish the term before he was sworn in as Senator on September 15, 2021, as replacement for the previous occupant; Senator Rose Oko‘s died on March 23, 2020.
He was sworn in after nearly eight months of a tussle in court against Senator Stephen Odey, who occupied the seat temporarily.
A representative of Cross River Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, Senator Onor sponsored four bills in the last three years.
Some of the bills are the Advanced Healthcare Development Fund (Establishment) Bill, 2020, which has been passed by the Senate, as well as A Bill for an Act to alter the Provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker is the gubernatorial candidate for his party in the March 11 Governorship elections in the state.

Ochiglegor Idagbo
Rep. Idagbo leads the bills tally of House members from the state with seven bills to his name. He is a representative of Obanliku/Obudu/Bekwarra Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber,
The PDP lawmaker also chairs the House Committee on National Local Content Development and Monitoring.
Alex Egbona
Rep Idagbo is closely followed by Rep. Egbona, who sponsored six bills in the last three years. Representing Yakurr/Abi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, he was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eta Mbora Edim
The lawmaker representing Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency has five bills to his credit.] in the period under review.
The Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Housing and Habitat was elected to the legislative chamber on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019.
Michael Irom Etaba
Representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, the lawmaker sponsored just one piece of legislation in the last three three years.
Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe
During his stint for a second term as a member, House of Representatives, the lawmaker as a representative of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, sponsored two bills before moving to the Senate.

Three lawmakers from the State in the House of Representatives did not sponsor a bill since 2019 namely:
- Agibe Christopher Ngoro representing Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency
- Daniel Effiong Asuquo representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, and
- Essien Ekpeyoung Ayirepresenting Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency
