The House of Representatives has restated that no citizen of Nigeria is obligated to pay the cybersecurity levy.

Rep. Kingsley Chinda (PDP Rivers), emphasized this during a motion of public importance addressing misconceptions about who should be responsible for the levy.

Chinda clarified that only those profiting from cyber activities as outlined in section of 44(2a) of the Act are obligated to pay.
