This development came after a motion of national importance was presented by Rep. Patrick Umoh (APC Akwa Ibom), who raised concerns about the need to examine the integrity of both institutions. Umoh’s motion was based on recent claims made by ‘VeryDarkMan’, in a widely circulated publication. According to the report, the EFCC allegedly dropped money laundering charges against popular crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, after he reportedly paid N15 million. In addition, ‘VeryDarkMan’ claimed that Bobrisky served his six-month prison sentence in a private apartment rather than in a correctional facility, as required by law.
