The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Job Racketeering has issued a warrant of arrest on the former Desk Officer of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Haruna Kolo, for shunning its invitation a second time.

Since the commencement of the probe, over four invitations have been extended to Kolo to appear before the investigative panel to explain his role in the alleged job racketeering saga.

Kolo, however, made an appearance on Monday and testified before the committee that he collected money from job seekers to offer them employment at the directive of the FCC Chairman, Dr Muheeba Dankaka.

Now, a staff of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Kolo, was asked to reappear on Tuesday with evidence to back up his claims but failed to do so and also shunned the committee on Wednesday.

At its sitting on Wednesday, the committee summoned the ex-FCC staff and tasked his new employer, AMCON, to ensure he appears unfailingly before the panel on Thursday.

However, Haruna Kolo was visibly absent at Thursday’s hearing prompting the Committee Chairman, Rep. Yusuf Gagdi (APC, Plateau) to issue a warrant for his arrest.
