Akpabio has denounced media reports of an impeachment plot against him at plenary today
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has denounced media reports of an impeachment plot against him earlier today.
Akpabio who spoke on this issue while presiding over Wednesday’s plenary described the news as a mischief.
He said: “We are here, sitting down and doing our work, oblivious of the mischief that is going on behind us. I think we should refer it to the committee on police affairs. The fake news is hereby referred to the committee on special duties.
“It is either they use AI to inject something to make it to turn around in order to drive traffic. I understand that they are being paid by YouTube, which they have a lot of traffic. So whoever brought out this fake news must be getting a lot of payment because of the traffic going on. I hope the public is aware that this is just fake news and that the chamber is very stable.
“Senator Kaka please investigate and report back to us as soon as possible,” he said.
