The Pan-African Parliament is mourning the passing of Geingob the late president of Namibia

The Pan-African Parliament has expressed rude shock over the passing of the Namibia President, Mr. Hage Gottfried Geingob who died on Sunday.

The Acting-President of the Pan-African Parliament, Hon. Dr. Ashebir W. Gayo in a press statement issued on Sunday night said Geingob’s contributions to the continent can not be overemphasised.

It is with a profound sense of loss and deep sorrow that we learned of the passing of the esteemed President of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency Hage Gottfried Geingob, a distinguished former member of the Pan-African Parliament. As we mourn this great loss, we also celebrate the indelible contributions that he made to our continent during his tenure.”

He also noted that the enduring legacy of the deceased President will continue to inspire future generations. 

His unwavering commitment to Pan-Africanism and his dedication to the cause of our Parliament have left an enduring legacy that will inspire future generations. on behalf of the Pan-African Parliament, I offer our heartfelt condolences to the people of Namibia, his family, and all who were touched by his visionary leadership.
