NSIP: TIinubu suspends all Social investment programmes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended all administered programmes by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) for six (6) weeks.

This is as he also expressed concern over the irregularities and operational flaws related to beneficiary payments for the programmes.

The suspension covers the NPower programmes, the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme and the Home Grown School Feeding Programme (the “Programs”).

This development followed the suspension of Halima Shehu as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) by President Tinubu.

Financial malpractice allegations were made against Shehu, who oversaw the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, which former President Muhammadu Buhari started to help vulnerable individuals and groups.
