OrderPaperToday – Charges of corruption and relooting of proceeds of crimes and corruption levelled against erstwhile chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde reverberated in the senate Tuesday when a penal to which the matter was referred submitted its report.
This is also as various Senate Committees submitted reports on their individual assignments to Senate plenary.
Committee on Banking and other Financial Institutions submitted its report on the abuse of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), to be debated by the Senate at a later date.
Also, the Committee on Ethics submitted its report on the petition against Total Exploration Nigeria Limited by some staff who were allegedly disengaged unlawfully.
Other petitions submitted by the Ethics Committee chaired by Sam Anyanwu included the petition against Kabir Marafa for allegedly misleading the public against the Senate.
The Sam Anyanwu committee also submitted its report on a petition against the former Chairman of the EFCC for alleged mismanagement of recovered looted funds.
