OrderPaperToday- The Delegation from the House of Representatives set up to facilitate the evacuation of Nigerians stranded by the Russia–Ukraine Conflict on Thursday laid its report before parliament.
Laying the report, House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa (APC, Kano) said “That the House do receive the Report of the Delegation of the House of Representatives on the Evacuation Process of Nigerians Trapped in Russia–Ukraine War.”
The report was laid following a motion by the House Leader and seconded by Yusuf Buba Yakub, (APC, Adamawa), Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs who is also a member of the team.
The House had on 28th February referred a motion of urgent national importance nominating a two-man delegation to leave for Ukraine to secure the evacuation of Nigerians including students cut up in Russia- Ukraine crises.
The two-man team eventually arrived in Romania on March 3 to oversee the evacuation of Nigerian citizens.
