OrderPaperToday – The House of Representatives has adjourned its plenary session for two weeks.
Briefing newsmen after Thursday’s sitting, Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Abdulrazak Namdas said the reason for the adjournment is to enable committees meet with Ministries, Departments and Agencies to defend their 2016 budget estimates.

Namdas said by February 25th, the lower chamber would have joined the Senate to ensure that a harmonized budget is ready for passage.
He assured that the House is committed to carrying out the budget defence exercise diligently and in an appropriate manner.
