Promoting Open Parliament for Upscaling Legislative Accountability
The Promoting Open Parliament for Upscaling Legislative Accountability (POPULA) project is an initiative implemented by OrderPaper to boost legislative accountability in Nigeria. The POPULA project birthed the Nigeria Network of Parliamentary Monitoring Organisations (NNPMOs).
A key focus of the project was popularising the Open Parliament Index (OPI) developed by a continental partner organisation with support from NED to assess parliaments across Africa using the three criteria of Open Parliament – Transparency, Civic Participation, and Public Accountability.
