Old and New Notes: The Endless Naira Scarcity

Exactly 10 days after the Supreme Court mandated the use of old N1000 and N500 notes as legal tender till December 31, 2023, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, gave in to pressure and formally ordered commercial banks to comply with the court’s verdict.
