OrderPaperToday – Airport remodelling projects undertaken by the Ministry of Aviation under the former Minister, Stella Oduah will undergo an audit to ascertain the level of value-for-money on the jobs.
Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi disclosed this when he appeared before the senate budget defence session of the committee on aviation.
Amaechi said the probe to be carried out would be extensive and far reaching.
Incidentally, Oduah is now a senator and member of senate committee on aviation.
Lending his support to the planned probe, Senator Hope Uzodinma who incidentally was chairman of senate committee on aviation when Oduah was minister, said the audit became necessary following the inclusion of some of the projects contained in the first phase of the airport remodeling exercise in the 2016 budget.
