OrderPaperToday– Chukwuma Alugbala Nwazunku (PDP, Ebonyi/Ohaukwu), one of the the House of Representatives team flying the Ebonyi State flag, has sponsored no bill in the first half of the 9th National Assembly.
Nwazunku, who is serving his second term as a member of the House, has given his constituents reasons to doubt his capacity as a legislator having drawn blank on lawmaking is one of the mandates expected of him.
Nwazunku, who started his career as a property and estate manager, has not brought his professional experience to fore in addressing housing issues in Nigeria through the legislative window he has.
Before his emergence as the representative of Ebonyi/Ohaukwu federal constituency, he had served as a leader of Local Government Legislative Council.
Similarly, he had served as the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
Nwazunku’s professed legislative interests span rural development, health, education, and agricultural development. Unfortunately, he not sponsored any bill in the aforementioned areas in the first two years of the four-years tenure of the 9th Assembly.
However, he may have maintained a good record in the area of of representation and oversight function which are part of the things required of him as a legislator.
