OrderPaperToday– Nnaji Prince Cornelius Nwaedozie is one of the newbies in the 9th House of Representatives representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo federal constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He is the Chairman of Freedom of Information Reform of Government Institutions Committee in the House but joins in the no-show bill category at midterm (June 2019 – June 2021).
Perhaps, his interventions at the committee which deals with the way public records are managed, has not afforded him ample opportunity to make bills.
Given the benefit of the doubt on the other hand, he is still learning the system since he is a newbie. And hopefully, he may put a bill in the remaining period of the 9th assembly.
Mr. Nwaedozie started his political career while in the university as he contested and won the President, Student Union Government, and held several other positions thereafter.
He is an erstwhile Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Enugu State in 2009; Chairman, Enugu East local government in 2014 and the Chairman of ALGON in Enugu State in 2016; Caretaker Chairman, Enugu East local government; and Chairman, Joint Account and Allocation Committee (JAAC) Enugu State 2017.
This political experience however did not help in spurring the urge to sponsor a legislation in two years.
