OrderPaperToday – The Senate has confirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s nominees for appointment as Executive Directors of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

This was sequel to the consideration and adoption of a report by the Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) as presented by its Chairman, Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu (APC, Jigawa South-West) at plenary on Tuesday.

Senator Nakudu, while presenting the report noted that the Committee screened the NMDPRA nominees and found them qualified, adding that there were no security reports or petitions against any of them.

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, who presided over plenary congratulated those confirmed, urged them to work hard to improve the petroleum sector.

Those confirmed are:

Francis Alabo Ogaree – Hydrocarbon Processing Plants, Installations and Transportation Infrastructure

Dr. Mustapha Lamorde – Health, Safety, Environment, and Community

Mansur Kuliya
– Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund

Bashir Sadiq –
Corporate Services and Administration

Dr. Zainab Gobir – Economic Regulations and Strategic Planning
