Performance scorecard of twenty-seven Senators and members of the House of Representatives from the state focused on their performance in the area of Bill Sponsorship over the last three years (2019 -2022)

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SCORECARD
Femi Gbajabiamila
Speaker of the House of Representatives, he was elected to the parliament in 2019 to represent Surulere Federal Constituency I. Gbajabiamila leads the twenty-seven members of the National Assembly from Lagos State, with twenty-three bills in his name since 2019.
Prominent amongst these bills is an amendment to the Electric Power Sector Reform Act, which the Green Chamber passed. First elected in 2003, Gbajabiamila had previously served as Minority Leader in the Seventh Assembly and Majority Leader between 2015 and 2019 when he won re-election to the House on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a fourth term.
Benson Babajimi Adegoke
Representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, he has sixteen bills in his name since 2019. Prominent among these bills is the Proceeds of Crime Management Agency (Establishment) Bill, 2019. He chairs the House Committee on Defence.
Jimoh Abduraheem Olajide
The lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency has so far sponsored twelve bills in the period under review. A two-term lawmaker in the House of Representatives, he currently chairs the House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning.
James Abiodun Faleke
Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, he closely follows Rep Olajide with eleven bills to his name. One of the influential lawmakers in the Green Chamber, he chairs the House Committee on Finance.
Rep Faleke has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2011 and is seeking a fourth term on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tasir Olawale Raji
The member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives sponsored nine (9) bills in the last three years.
Ademorin Aliu Kuye
In the period under review, the lawmaker representing Shomolu Federal Constituency also sponsored nine (9) bills
Oluwarotimi Agunsoye
A representative of Kosofe Federal Constituency, he has had eight bills to his credit since 2019, including the National Electronic Health Record Bill 2019.
Olufemi Bandele Adebanjo
Adebanjo represents Alimosho Federal Constituency and has sponsored seven (7) bills in the last three years.
Ganiyu Abiodun Johnson
Representing Oshodi/Isolo II Federal Constituency, he closely follows Rep Adebanjo in the bills tally with six (6) bills in the period under review.
A representative of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, he has since his election to the House in 2019 for a first term sponsored four (4) bills.

Two of the Lagos federal lawmakers each sponsored five bills during the same period of review They are Mufutau Adewale Egberongbe representing Apapa Federal Constituency and Samuel Babatunde Adejare representing Agege Federal Constituency.
Similarly, Rep Enitan Dolapo-Badru representing Lagos Island I Federal Constituency and Rep Olatunji Abiola Shoyinka, representing Surulere II Federal Constituency, each has three (3) bills in their name.
The lawmaker representing Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency sponsored two bills in the last three years, including the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 Act (Alteration) Bill.
Meanwhile, seven out of twenty-seven lawmakers from the State have just one bill to show each for three years. They are:
- Moshood Kayode Akiolu representing Lagos Island II Federal Constituency
- Balogun Adebayo Olusegun representing Ibeju Lekki Federal Constituency
- Owolabi Adisa James representing Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency
- Humpe Adande Babatunde representing Badagry Federal Constituency
- Alli Adeyemi Taofeek representing Mushin I Federal Constituency
- Kolawale Taiwo representing Ajeromi/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, and
- Bashiru Ayinla Dawodu representing Oshodi/Isolo I Federal Constituency
Oluremi Shade Tinubu
First elected to the federal parliament in 2011 to represent Lagos Central Senatorial District, Senator Tinubu has six bills to her credit in the period under review.
Serving out a third term in the Senate, she is Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Communications. One of the bills she has proposed is aimed at reforming the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) to make it a more viable entity.
Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru
The lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly has sponsored fifteen bills to his name in the last three years. Some of these bills include the
- Copyright Act Repeal and Re-enactment Bill, 2021
- Dishonoured Cheques Act Cap D11 LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- Federal High Court Act (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- Federal Polytechnic Epe (Establishment) Bill, 2021 and
- Utilities Charges Commission Act (Repeal) Bill, 2021.
Senator Abiru, who chairs the Senate Committee on Industries, was elected to the Red Chamber in 2020. He won a bye-election held on December 5, 2020, to replace the previous occupant of the seat; Adebayo Osinowo, who died in 2019.
Solomon Olamilekan Adeola
A representative of Lagos West Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, Adeola ranks highest among Lagos Senators in the legislative chamber in terms of bill sponsorship.
Popularly known as ‘Yayi’ among his constituents, he chairs the Senate Committee on Finance and has sponsored sixteen bills. One of the bills seeks the establishment of a City University of Technology, Yaba, Lagos State.
Senator Adeola had served in the House of Representatives before moving to Senate in 2015. He is currently running for the Ogun West Senatorial seat in the February 25 2023 election.

Speaker Olufemi Hkeem Gbajabiamila is undisputable one of the finest Lawmaker of this Republic.
His work and project over Surulere Federal Constituency 1 makes him one of the best metropolitan Lagos can ever produced.
You will definitely see his footprint virtually on every street in Surulere. His work of service have no doubt earn him the ticket of his party for a record of 6 times in a row.
Consequently he has grown through ranks in the National Assembly as minority leader to majority leader and now the The right honourable Speaker. This kind of growth is good for our democracy and his wealth of experience an asset to the legislature
As an unbiased Lagosian who appreciates good representation I am proud to say Gbaja has delivered but, by virtue of leading in a chaotic time like this his work of service may not receive the publicity befitting it but I made bold to say Surulere 1 is a cynosure of the centre of excellence.
He gave the needed attention to infrastructure, roads, street lights, stadia, schools and also invest in meaningful youth development programs.
I am therefore not surprised that The speaker led by example in the 9th house of representatives by leading other lawmakers from Lagos.
I am indeed surprised and proud of my own home senator, Distinguished Senator Mukahil Abiru who succeeded late Sen. Bayo Asinowo in bye-election to have sponsored a whooping 15bills in three years. I feel good to associate with Lagos East on this and he may likely get my vote come February 25.
For Rep. Ademorin who is my representative from Somolu I am kind of tired of his continuance in the house. Somolu people need more than just tricycles and cash donations. It’s time to invest in infrastructure and youth development like your colleague in Surulere did and he may not get my vote come February.
For Senator Oluremi she has given a full proof of her stewardship in Lagos Central with the building of 20 toilets with motorized Boreholes in 20 public primary schools all across Lagos Central which I was opportune to track on behalf of Orderpaper.ng in December 2022.
Her participation at plenary and in debates are very rich and having that number of bills beating all the odds of her husband campaigning to become the commander-in-chief is highly commendable.
To all who represented Lagos in the 9th Assembly you’ve all done well and we thank you for your service to The center of excellence .
To those seven Lawmakers bringing home just one bill in 4years for me that is not good enough and unacceptable. You are representing the center of excellence and we expect excellent performance from you guys.
