MinisterialScreening: Nigerians react to senator’s kiss gesture to female nominee

OrderPaperToday – Nigerians have been sharing their reactions to the confirmation hearing of ministerial nominees currently holding at the Senate.

The feedback has been mostly negative with scorn and derision trailing the live exclusive feeds being provided by OrderPaper Nigeria on Twitter.

For instance, there have been lots of talk about the kiss gesture of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah (YPP, Anambra) to Sharon Ikeazor, the nominee from Anambra State, during her screening on Wednesday.

Sharon, who graduated with an law degree in 1984 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, happened to be the first female and last person who was screened on the day.

In her opening remarks, she took her time to salute the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, all Senators, especially Senators from her state.

It was during this salutation that Ifeanyi Ubah, senator representing Anambra South Senatorial district, was seen blowing her kisses.

Some Nigerians have found the gesture funny; others shocking; and to some others,  disappointing.
