Shehu Ahmed is the lawmaker representing Maru/Bugudu  Federal Constituency of Zamfara State in the House of Representatives.

Ahmed was first elected into the green chambers in the 2019 general election under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Following the defection of his governor, Bello Matawalle to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2021, Shehu Ahmed alongside four other Representatives from Zamfara cross-carpeted to the governing party.
