Bala Kokani is the lawmaker representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency of Sokoto State in the House of Representatives.

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the lawmaker was first elected to parliament in 2019 and serves as a member of the House Committee on Safety Regulations and Standards.

Bala Kokani had served in various capacities before his election to the National Assembly including as Personal Assistant to the Minister for Water Resources (2001 – 2006). He was also Caretaker Chairman, Kebbe Local Government Area (2014 – 2015), and later Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning (2015 – 2018).

He is however among the long list of lawmakers at the 9th National Assembly with no bills to their credit at mid-term (June 2019- June 2021).

It is the hope of his constituents that he will do better in the remaining two years of the constitutional four-year term at the National Assembly.
