Giving him the benefit of doubt, he may still be learning the process as a newbie in parliament, although there are other newbies who have sponsored bills in their credit in the period under review.
It is hoped that he will do better in his remaining two years as a first-term federal legislator.
Editor’s Note: Rankings with the use of OrderPaper‘s Bill Chart are without prejudice to efforts in the area of oversight responsibilities, as well as representation through motions and petitions sent in by constituents.
However, lawmaking in the form of bill sponsorship remains a core duty expected of every legislator. In the absence of bills to a lawmaker’s credit, therefore, a good showing in the aforementioned areas is a boost to his/her track record.
