Abdulkarim Usman is one of the five members of the House of Representatives from Nasarawa State.

Usman represents Akwanga/Nassarawa/Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency and was elected in 2019 under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). He also serves as a member of the Committee on Aviation.

The lawmaker had worked as a Director of Protocol in the office of the Nasarawa State Governor and was nominated by his people to run for a seat at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in 2011.

He secured a win in parliament where he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Health and sponsored many private member bills while serving in the state legislature.

He was, however, the only legislator among the Nasarawa delegation to the 9th National Assembly who did not sponsor any bill in his first two years. It is hoped that he will do better in the remaining years of his four-year term.
