MIDTERM: Aisowieren is only Edo Rep without a bill

OrderPaperToday – Patrick Aisowieren is the last in the pack of the nine members of the House of Representatives from Edo State.

This is on account of the fact that he is the only one without a bill to his credit in the first two years of the four-year tenure.

Mr. Aisowieren, who is representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), started his career as a teacher.

In 2003, he was elected a Councilor in Edo State and served in that capacity until 2007 when he was elected into the Edo State House of Assembly. He was reelected into the state assembly in 2011 for another four-year term.

Mr. Patrick Aisowieren

In 2015, he was elected to represent his constituency in the House of Representatives, and was reelected in 2019. He serves as a member of Interior and Populations Committee. His legislative priorities are within the auspices of oil & gas, education, and power.

Despite the fact that he is a ranking member of parliament with vast political experience over the years, record shows that he joins the no-show list of the House at midterm (June 2019 to June 2021).

Perhaps, he would turn the tables around in the next two and final years of the 9th assembly.
