Enugu State, in the south-east Nigeria, has a total of eleven members in the National Assembly, comprising of three senators and eight representatives in the House
Enugu is Nigeria’s 29th largest and the 22nd most populous state in the country. It is located in the South-East geopolitical zone. Nicknamed the ‘Coal City’, the Igbo people primarily inhabit modern-day Enugu. It is divided between the Niger Delta swamp forests and the drier Guinean forest-savanna mosaic.
Notably, former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani and former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu who was the longest serving Deputy Senate President in Nigeria and First Nigerian Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament, emerged from the state. Enugu State consists of 17 Local Government Areas organized into three senatorial districts and eight federal constituencies.
It is currently governed by Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party. (PDP), who emerged as governor on May 29, 2023

Senator Ngwu Osita
Sen. Osita is serving his first term as a Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District in the 10th Assembly under the platform of the PDP. Before joining mainstream politics, he was in the oil and Gas industry from 2007 to 2010.

Senator Oke Ezea Okechukwu
Sen. Okechukwu is currently serving as a first-term Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District under the platform of the Labour Party (LP) in the 10th Assembly. In pursuit of his political ambition, he joined the party in the build-up to the 2023 elections and secured the nomination of the LP for Enugu North Senatorial District. Senator Kelvin Chukwu Chizoba
Sen. Kelvin is serving as a first-term senator representing Enugu East in the 10th Senate under the platform of the LP.
He was elected as a replacement candidate for his elder brother Oyibio Chukwu (late) who was assassinated a few days before the elections in February 2023 having won the seat to represent Enugu East.
