About the Initiative
Immortalizing the Architects of Modern Nigeria
The ICONS of the Fourth Republic is a landmark initiative powered by OrderPaper Nigeria, an independent parliamentary monitoring organization and policy think tank.
This project is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the remarkable leadership journey and impactful public service of outstanding Nigerian statespersons who have served since the dawn of the Fourth Republic, 25 years ago.
Our Core Objectives:

Driven by the Facility for Legislative Executive Exchange (FLEX)
The selection of our ICONS is centered on a unique phenomenon tracked by the Facility for Legislative Executive Exchange (FLEX).
This distinction highlights figures who have demonstrated distinguished transitions between the Legislature and the Executive—a clear sign of versatility, experience, and deep institutional knowledge within the governance structure.
The ICONS are statesmen and women whose careers embody the synergy required for effective democratic governance, having excelled in both lawmaking and executive policy implementation.
The Legacy Platform
A Triple-Tiered Recognition of Service
Nomination as an ICON guarantees a permanent place in national history through three premier recognition platforms:
I. Premier Book of Records (Limited Edition)
A high-quality, premier limited-edition compendium detailing the public service record, achievements, and contributions of each inducted ICON. This will be a standard reference material on Nigeria’s democratic history.
II. Digital Repository
A dedicated, accessible online platform that serves as a dynamic, permanent digital archive of the ICONS and their service, ensuring their legacies are available globally and indefinitely.
III. Award and Gala Night
An exclusive, high-profile ceremonial event (scheduled for August 2025/Early 2026 in Abuja) where the Book of Records is unveiled and ICONS are formally inducted and honored. This event will gather Nigeria’s foremost political and business leadership.
