OrderPaperToday – Mallam Bukar Gana was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2011 to represent Kukawa/Mobbar/Abadam/Guzamala federal constituency of Borno State.
Listed as his legislative priorities, includes sponsorship of bills that would have direct impact on his people. However, Mr. Gana makes a no-show on the bills chart at midterm of the extant 9th assembly, which is contrary to the target he has set for himself.
He was elected under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the current dispensation and he is one of the ten members of the House of Representatives that are flying the Borno State flag.
Mr. Gana was elected to serve as a Councilor of Kerato ward in Mobbar Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State in 1995 and was reelected in 1998 for a second term. He became the Caretaker Chairman of the LGA in 2004. And in 2007, he was elected as a member of the Borno State House of Assembly until 2011.
He is a Fellow of the Certified Institute of Management (FCIM), and also a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Executive of Nigeria (FICEN).
In spite of being a ranking member with vast political experience, Mr. Gana falls short in terms of bills as none is accredited to his name in the first two years of the of the four-year tenure.
