OrderPaperToday – Speaker House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, has expressed sadness over the death of the Soun of Ogbomosho land, Oba Oladunmi Ajagunde iii.
The loss of Ogbomosho’s Soun was a sad development, he lamented.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker Mr. Lanre Lasisi, released on Monday 13th of December, 2021.
Mr. Gbajabiamila noted that the death of the Soun of Ogbomosho whom he described as a father of all, affected him deeply, adding that he was a source of inspiration to his people and others during his reign.
He pointed out that the loss of Soun has left a void that will be difficult to fill, as he recounted how the Soun had used his stool to help Ogbomosho land make progression throughout the years.
He sent his condolences to the government and people of Oyo State, the Ogbomoso royal family as well as the Soun’s immediate family over the loss.
He also expressed his condolence to Oyo State’s government and the people, as well as Souns’s immediate family on their loss.
Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila further prayed to the Almighty God to help the late Soun’s soul find a peaceful resting place.
The Soun of Ogbomosho passed away on Sunday the 12th of December 2021, at the age of 95.
