OrderPaperToday – After years of repeated calls for President Muhamadu Buhari to sack the service chiefs, the President has finally relieved the military heads of their duties.
The National Assembly – Senate and House of Representatives – on several occasion through resolutions had prevailed on the President to sack the Service Chiefs, however, the calls have been met with resistance from the President.
Defence Chief Abayomi Olonisakin, Army Chief Tukur Buratai, Navy Chief Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas and Air Chief Sadique Abubakar have been subject of several resolutions of the National Assembly.
