OrderPaperToday- Some Senators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stayed away from plenary as Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu on Wednesday presided over the plenary for the first time.
Senator Ekweremadu held forth for the Senate President, Bukola Saraki who was attending the inauguration of the ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, this did not go down well with some APC senators who decided not to sit in plenary.
Their suspected grievance is not unconnected with the controversial manner Ekweremadu emerged Deputy Senate President despite being a member of the opposition party.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, however took over plenary midway upon arrival from the Presidential Villa and senate subsequently went into an executive session.
