SENATORS SCORECARD

Ekiti

 

Michael Opeyemi Bamidele
The lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District has sponsored 23 bills in the last three years (2019 – 2022), including a bill seeking the establishment of the Federal College of Agriculture and Tropical Studies, Efon Alaye, which has passed first reading.

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and influential lawmaker in the Red Chamber, he had previously served as a member of the House of Representatives before moving to the Senate. The Rights Activist currently chairs the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.

He is one of the few All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the country who won a ticket for the 2023 National Assembly elections unopposed.

 

Olubunmi Ayodeji Adetunmbi
Representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, the Lawmaker has seven bills in his name, including a bill seeking to legalise Published Works for Persons Living With Disabilities which has scaled First reading.

 

Biodun Christine Olujimi
A representative of Ekiti South in the Red Chamber, she is the only female Ekiti Senator and the only People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker from the State.

The former Ekiti Deputy Governor and former Senate Minority Leader has in the last three years, sponsored six bills. Prominent among these pieces of legislation is the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (Establishment) Bill, which has scaled second reading.

Olanrewaju Ibrahim Kunle
The lawmaker representing Ido/Osi/Moba/Ilejemeje Federal Constituency jointly tops the Bills Tally of lawmakers from the state, having sponsored 23 bills in the period under review.

 

Bamisile Olufemi Richard
Representing Gbonyin/Ekiti East/Emure Federal Constituency, the lawmaker has, since 2019, sponsored 12 bills.

 

Peter Owolabi
The Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency Representative has seven bills to his name in the period under review.


Ogunlola Omawunmi Olubunmi
A representative of Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber, Rep. Olubunmi, has also sponsored seven bills in the last three years.

 

Fatoba Olusola Steve
Representing Ado Ekiti/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency in the federal parliament, the lawmaker has six bills to his credit in the period under review.

 

Adaramodu Adeyemi Raphael
Representing Ekiti SouthWest/Ikere/Ise Orun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, he is the only lawmaker from the state to have sponsored just a piece of legislation since 2019.
