Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announces first set of appointments

Krishi appointed Media aide to Speaker Abbas; previously served as the Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, from 2019 to 2023.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas, has announced the appointment of Dr Jerry Uhuo and Musa Krishi as his Special Advisers on Policy and Strategy, as well as Media and Publicity respectively.

As contained in a press statement personally signed by the Speaker and made available to the media, the appointment of both aides takes effect immediately.

Until Krishi’s appointment, he served as the Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, from 2019 to 2023. The graduate of Mass Communication has several years of experience in legislative reporting, covering both the House and the Senate at different times for the Daily Trust and is well acquainted with legislative nuances.

The journalist from Nasarawa State joined Daily Trust as the Best Graduating Student, Mass Communication from the famous Kaduna Polytechnic in 2012 as part of the newspaper’s policy. Between 2014 and 2015, he served as the Assistant Political Editor at the Daily Trust and rose to become a Senior Correspondent.

An associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Krishi also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), where he graduated as the best student of his set with distinction.

The Speaker charged him to bring his wealth of experience acquired over the years on board in line with the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House of Representatives.
